Bio: David Ramey

David Ramey is a native of San Francisco, CA. and studied with Rudolph Schaeffer at a small prestigious design school, the Schaeffer School of Design. Known for his color theory and his personalized approach to design, Mr. Schaeffer studied at the Bauhaus in Germany. The foundation of David's design approach of simplicity and spaciousness was initiated during his years at design school. After graduating with honors, he started work in San Francisco designing country clubs, dining halls for college campuses along with eight original Magic Pan restaurants. He moved to Southern California, living and working as an interior designer in West-side Los Angeles and Palm Springs for eleven years where he focused on designing retail stores such as Spectacles Etc. and Hoffman Beauty Supplies and many residential estates. He also designed a number of interior spaces including a sorority house at UC Berkeley and the Grace Carpenter Hudson Museum in Ukiah. Since moving to Napa in 1993, he has designed a wide range of residential interiors, remodels and from the ground-up new construction. He’s designed three award-winning show-house rooms in the Napa Valley, presented by Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation. One of his rooms won the "Award of Distinction" from California Home and Design. House Beautiful included another show-house room in "America's Best Show-House Rooms." A third room was recognized as "Best Interior" by Northern California Home and Garden. David is committed to designing totally personalized and customized interiors The close communication he maintains with his clients throughout all projects allows him to design exactly what his client wants and needs.
